Bharat Varsh is the landmass between Himalayas and Hind Mahasagar (Indian Ocean). This comprises of 10 countries – India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
India can declare the Bharat Varsh Doctrine. It basically means that Bharat Varsh is an Indian Area of Influence.
India will have to defend it’s Area of Influence with military might against all foreign powers. This will provide India with a safe geography to develop economically and militarily in the long run.
Bharat Varsh is a continuous geography. Whenever, any foreign power (like China) gets access from any country (like Nepal) in this geography, it becomes a threat to Indian security.
India can buy co-operation from it’s neighbors by entering into a military and economic alliance. Thereby, ensuring the defense and economic prosperity of India’s neighbors.
India can deter it’s neighbors from getting close to a foreign power by threatening them. India can make the threat that it will respect the independence of it’s neighbors only till they stay away from foreign powers. If any Indian neighbor invites a foreign power inside Bharat Varsh, India has the right to capture their territory.
An example of such doctrine is the Monroe Doctrine. USA declared the Monroe Doctrine in 1823 that the entire American continent is it’s Area of Influence and defended it with military might against all powerful European Colonial Powers.
